I can't believe that it is only next week that I'm off to Paris to celebrate graduating with one of my school friends and our mums. In honour of this, I took inspiration from a cookbook I got for Christmas, and made a French inspired dinner.
I didn't catch the whole T.V series of the book as I didn't realise it was on when I was at university but I have caught up on since. Both the dishes I cooked were demonstrated in the series.
To start with I made poulet a la lavande (can be seen at 8:46). I had to start at lunchtime to get the marinade ready. I did manage to find some lavender in a shop in town, although mum did inform me I could have used lavender from the garden.
Once made I left it for 4 hours (while I watched the tennis), before roast, and serving with new potatoes and rocket.

For dessert I made Moelleux au chocolat (can bee seen at 24:09). That meant making caramel for the first time. I don't think it turned out to bad, although may have put a bit too much salt in it to make it salted.
