Food Glorious Food

Hey

So last weekend I was in Windsor with my family, and I was showing them my favourite places to get food.

First of all we had to go to The Fudge Kitchen. I have got my sister fudge from there on numerous occassions as presents so had to show her the shop. Everytime you go in they offer you a free sample of fudge (apart from this day). I wasn't that impressed my the sales assistant, the less friendest I have seen in there. Still didn't offer when my sister was indecisive about what flavour to get. If you go, you're meant to get a free sample so don't be afraid to ask for it. She eventually went for marple and walnut while I went for belgium chocolate swirl.

Then we went to Candy Cakes for cupcakes. There's also one in Covent Garden if you're that way. I selected an oreo and chocolate and orange cupcake, while my sister went for mini macaroons. Instead of a cupcake from there she went for one from a bakery next to the fudge shop. She said later that she wish she had gotten one from Candy Cakes. Her cupcake looked nice but was disappointing in taste. It was blueberry but only had 3 it in and was just coloured icing. This was after she had selected a different flavour and was told there wasn't any left even though there was some in the display :S slightly odd.

We then went to collect my dad (as he had avoided the shopping in the morning) so that we all went to Ben and Jerry's for waffle and ice cream. They had the new flavour O My Apple Pie. It is lush. There is also student discount there, which is always nice to see :)

We also had to make a pit stop at Nostalgic Sweets to pick up some to have for the car journey home. There do almost every sweet imaginable at good prices. You can get 5 bags of sweet for £4. Not bad if you all like different things.

Lazy on a Sunday Afternoon

Hey

This weekend my family came down to visit and I got to show them around Windsor. Part of the real reason they came was to meet the boyfriend's parents. Everything went OK. They seemed to get along. Before and after meeting with them, we were doing lots of shopping. Dad wasn't too impressed; he doesn't like it when we go shopping. I found my dream food mixer I would love for my dream house, cheaper then I've seen it anywhere. It's still too expensive for a poor student to buy though.  We also did a lot of eating this weekend. Will do a post on all the yummy food we got as there was a lot.
