Baking on Saturday was a bit of a disaster. I was helping my sister make cream egg brownies from a recipe she found online but they didn't turn out to well. The eggs seemed to explode and spilt over the edge of the tin and then once out of the oven, the middle of collapsed in on its self. It still tasted good even if you had to eat it with a spoon from the tin.

It's almost the end of March which means the end of the Disneybound March Challenge. I haven't managed everyday but I will over the long weekend. Today was Eric from the Little Mermaid.

It's So Much More Friendly With Pooh

Hey

It's Easter weekend so that means a long weekend off from placement allowing time for working on my research proposal and lots and lots of baking.

For dinner on Good Friday I cooked a one pan cod dish and orange meringue pie.

Final placement started and so far so good. The team seem nice, I just have lots to read up on as there are loads of conditions I haven't come across before.

Over the weekend I did manage to complete a couple of inspired outfits.

If Today Was Your Last Day

Hey

Today was my last day at my current placement and I'm really gonna miss the team there. They really welcomed me into the team and my educator was amazing. He baked a chocolate and Guinness cake as it was my last day and I got a small present as well. Really wish I could stay, it's going to be odd going to a different hospital on Monday for my last placement. I was quite sad on my way back to uni, and even a cookies and cream cupcake couldn't cheer me up.

Even with the weather being rubbish this week, I could have designed outfits based on the dwarfs, Gus Gus or Smee, although my problem is I don't have that many hats or in their co-ordinating colours. So I used the hat I do have to complete a very simple inspired outfit.

Chocolate On My Tongue

Hey

I haven't been very good with inspired outfits this week so far. It's too cold so I'm reaching for my hoodie - I either need it to warm up or to get home so I have more choice for outfits.

Instead I thought I would share the mint choc brownies I made at the week. I made 2 batches - one I took into placement and the other was left in the flat for me and my flatmates. The second batch came out a bit more cakey, might be because the mixture cooled down before being put into the tin and because I was impatient and turned up the oven slightly (on 10 degrees), but hey they still taste good.

Melt the chocolate and butter

Beat the eggs and then beat in the sugar

Combine the chocolate mixture to the eggs and sugar

Stir in the flour and cocoa powder

Pour half the mixture into a greased tin, add a layer of After Eights
then pour over the remaining mixture and BAKE!

 

I kinda forgot to take a picture of the finished product but they produce gooey brownies with a crispy top when warm which turn into chewy brownies when cool. Enjoy!

Day 10 equalled a dog inspired looked. My top isn't technically Dalmatians although the colours make it perfect for an inspired look. With the addition of my blue blazer, it made it perfect for Perdita. I did have to wear leggings as it has started to get cold again.

No Matter What

As for most of the week I have been getting back late, I went to placement yesterday ready to go out in the evening in case I was running late coming back again. I took inspiration from one of my favourite characters for my outfit.

Day 8 - Something there Belle

The cardigan has been one of my staples since I got it for Christmas. I just love the colour of it. The necklace was another Christmas present that my sister managed to find. It came from Neverland Jewelry which is all handmade jewelry that is stunning. The shop only opens at certain times so you have to keep your eye on it to catch it while it opens. She has some great pieces that would be amazing for outfits inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

I feel like the only thing missing from my outfit is an Something There Belle mini bow for Magical Ribbons, so I'll just have to wait for my order to come through.

Legend of the Lamp

So as it has started to warm up this week, I didn't reach for my hoodie this morning, I actually managed to create an inspired outfit this morning. I still did layer up a 2 tops and a cardigan so that I was warm. I am limited with accessories while at uni so I only had a scarf but I got all the colours there.

I tried out a bit of photo editing today with pixlr - there's lots of options but I went for a very simple collage. May become a bit more adventurous once I have more accessories to show. Any suggests of other good editing sites?

Day 2, and it's a day of trying to do uni work and finishing off my presentation. Even when I'm still lounging around I can still get inspiration from Disney. I noticed that I was DisneyBounding in these clothes last year when I took them on holiday to Disneyland Paris and me and my sister finally did what we say we should do when we stay in a hotel round Disney lake - go for a run round it :)

After Today

Hey

So yesterday was the start of March, which meant the start of DisneyBound March Challenge! As I'm at uni, I only have limited supply of clothes as I don't bring my whole wardrobe with me, so the second half of the month should be easier as I will be at home for my last placement. It will also be interesting as when you leave for work early in the morning when it's cold, reaching for the hoodie to keep warm is the norm.

Yesterday I went out after returning from work for drinks and food. So I added the blue blazer, and accessorised with pink rose earrings (I was going to wear my yellow roses but I kinda broke one as I was ready).
