Sweet Like Chocolate

It's Easter and therefore the thing most people are thinking about is CHOCOLATE!!! I've been very lucky this year and been spoilt with some yummy chocolate gifts. Firstly I got a a huge Thorton's chocolate egg with a box of chocolate as well.

Then I got a gift basket that was made up, full of goodies. I got Lindt chocolate bunnies, Cadbury's caramel bunnies, a Malteser bunny, Smartie chicken, Cadbury's caramel eggs and mini eggs. As well as that I got s lovely "stay calm and keep cooking" and  apron and a silicon chocolate egg mould, which I hopefully get to use this Easter weekend between revising for my exams.

One of my Uni friends also got me some marzipan eggs as I'm in love with marzipan!!

I also had mini Malteser bunnies, which are even cuter than a big Malteser bunny.

The other things I got for Easter where some beige chino shorts from Fatface (picked up in Windsor), a bag of milkybar eggs and a small milkybar egg. I also received a egg with Tinkerbell on the front that is dusted with silver shimmer to pick up her dress and wings.

Eat Steak

Hey

So on Good Friday instead of revising, I took the day off to do some of the things I enjoy the most. Cooking and haning out with my friends. I spent the morning cooking a steak pie from scratch (including the pastry) and as I had some pastry left, I made it into an open apple and golden syrup pie. It took pretty much the whole morning to do (as i had to go to the shops to get a few ingredients) so I didn't manage to fit any revision in like I planned.

After enjoying my pies for lunch I headed into Norwich to go see The Hunger Games with some of my friends. The car journey is always amusing when you get Paul and Shannon together. I some how managed to return home with more money than I went out with even though I bought a cinema ticket, don't know how that happened?? Not that I'm complaining.

Now for a quick review on the film. I haven't read the books before hand, so I only really knew what I had googled and read about them. I still knew more then my friends about it. It was good but I can't see how they are going to make the 2nd film (if they make it) that different from the first if she gets sent back into the games. After reading somethings about it, I was expecting it to be quite distrubing at times especially with the content of it. I can see how it could be quite distressing for younger audiences but I thought they dealt with the scenes that I had read about quite well. I would definitely recommend going to see it, as it does propose some good questions about all the reality tv we have at the moment, even if they are not as extreme as the Hunger Games.

Going Home

As University has finished for the holidays, I came home for a couple of weeks to see my friends and family and get a huge chunk of revision done as well as finishing off my assignment. As I have been working hard at Uni, I had the weekend off and spent it going shopping with my sister and mum.


On Saturday we popped along to a local vintage fayre to have a look at the offerings. We picked up two Easter themed table clothes. I then went out for some drinks and a catch up with a couple of mates that night. It was definitely over due. I feel slightly out of the loop being at Uni in London.


On the Sunday we went shopping in Norwich, which is a good idea when the new Fatface catalogue :) I did spend awhile waiting for my sister to try on lots of clothes in H&M, but then it was her turn in Fatface. I did end up picking up a few things which my lovely mum paid for (although I will be earning them doing housework throughout the summer).

My favourite thing I picked up was definitely the Charlotte dress in blue and white poka dot (it is also available in two other clothes). It is very summery, so just waiting for some nicer weather to come back.
