Anyone Can Cook

Hey

Our last day, had a surprise breakfast that out mums had booked for us - a character breakfast at Café Mickey.

We had a perfect table, right where the characters first came out (although we did miss Mickey as he had just gone pass as we were seated).

Again I hadn't planned for the weather well so had to wear a cardigan we I wasn't planning too.

Remy - Grey H&M Dress, Frying Pan Necklace from Esty
Our last day was filled with last minute shopping and final rides - even with a fast pass we still had to queue for 25 minutes for Big Thunder Mountain (that's the longest fast pass queue I've ever experienced).

Nine Lives

Hey

We continued our trip by shopping at the Val de Europe outlet and the designer outlet La Vallee Village. No one bought anything from the designer outlet, but I did find a crepe pan and pearl sugar that I need to make Chouquettes from my Little Paris Kitchen cookbook. I always have chouquettes for breakfast when I visit Paris, although this time they were not an option. However, I did manage to buy one at Val de Europe (although the shop girls seemed a bit surprised that I only wanted one.)

Chouquette!

I had to outfits for this day- one for shopping, and one for eating and fireworks that night.

I had to borrow the cardigan as it was chilly and I hadn't packed my blue cardigan that would have coordinated with my outfit.

How Long Must This Go On?

Hey

Day 3 was definitely my favourite day. My favourite outfit, it was mostly dry (it only poured when we were watching the car stunt show under cover) and had an entertaining night at Planet Hollywood with a pleasant new waiter and moaning about his grumpy superior :)

There was definitely a lot more characters about in the Studios then when we have been before. I even managed to meet Gaston which seemed quite fitting with my outfit (I think he noticed who I was).

The Bells of Notre Dame

Hey

Primark Cardigan, Matalan Top, Forever 21 Skirt,
Asos Exclusive Cambridge Satchel, Fat Face Sandals

I wasn't planning to wear a cardigan with my Esmeralda outfit but it was too cold, not to have something over my arms. I needed some gold bangles and forgot to pack the one I bought for my graduation ball.

Here Comes the Rain Again

Hey

Day 2 and it rained again. We adventured into Paris but didn't really accomplish much until the afternoon as it was raining.

Taking cover outside a pet shop
After a spot of lunch it seemed to brighten up, which let us see a lot. We visited Notre Dame, the bridge of locks (I don't know if that's its correct name), the Louvre, walked down the Champs-Elysees, climbed the 284 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe before stopping for food in a small bistro.

Black Summer Rain

Hey

Back from Paris, although the weather isn't that much different. I was hoping to get some sunshine while in Paris but it just seemed to rain.

On the first day, the rides were closed due to the rain, thunder and lightning, so we only managed to go on one ride that was well timed, as it was stopped as we got off. Managed to get a couple of pictures before it poured down with rain.

Before we were asked to leave the maze due to lightning

It's raining, it's pouring

As a result, we headed off to have food early, and did some shopping in the village before heading to have cocktails back at the hotel.

My outfit was inspired by the colours of Cogsworth, but I couldn't find a pocket watch necklace that I liked to finish it off.

La Petit Femme de Paris

Hey

I can't believe that it is only next week that I'm off to Paris to celebrate graduating with one of my school friends and our mums. In honour of this, I took inspiration from a cookbook I got for Christmas, and made a French inspired dinner.

I didn't catch the whole T.V series of the book as I didn't realise it was on when I was at university but I have caught up on since. Both the dishes I cooked were demonstrated in the series.

To start with I made poulet a la lavande (can be seen at 8:46). I had to start at lunchtime to get the marinade ready. I did manage to find some lavender in a shop in town, although mum did inform me I could have used lavender from the garden.

Once made I left it for 4 hours (while I watched the tennis), before roast, and serving with new potatoes and rocket.

Dinner is Served

For dessert I made Moelleux au chocolat (can bee seen at 24:09). That meant making caramel for the first time. I don't think it turned out to bad, although may have put a bit too much salt in it to make it salted.

Rally Against Cancer 2013

Hey

The whole week of Queen's has been disturbed by the rain and the final seems to be no different. So while I'm waiting for the rain to clear so I can watch the match on T.V. (I have been to Queen's but that was when it was still the Stella Artois tournament) I thought I spread awareness of the charity match which will hopefully be played after it.

Rally Against Cancer was organised by Ross Hutchins, who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at the end of last year, and Andy Murray to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital. I know some who has received treatment there so am aware of the good work they do there. Hopefully the Player versus Coach grudge match and the All Star doubles match will be paired, as the fundraising total aim for the end of the day is £100,000.

There is various ways to donate one being through the JustGiving page. The fundraising will continue even after today, but it would be amazing if they can achieve their target by the end of the day.

Hopefully this will become a regular fundraiser at Queen's so I can hopefully go back and watch again soon.

Into The Sunlight

Hey

I'm not packed yet for Paris but here's a few things as clues to the inspirations of my outfits including the bow earrings my sister got me when she was in Paris in May. 6 outfits although I'm only going to be there with 5 days.

Who will I be?
