Hey
If you have seen my guest post from Heather in January, then you will know of her journey in over coming her diagnosis of mesothelioma. She has now shared with me a video of our story and I want to help her in spending the awareness of this cancer.
Here is the link Heather sent me to watch her story. I hope you watch and pass it on.
With hope, the odds don't matter :)

I'm Free
Hey
After finishing Uni but before finally coming home, me and my flatmates got to hang out. The weather wasn't the most co-operative for my final few days there but that didn't stop us having fun.
We took a trip over to Windsor and went to visit the castle as one of my mates hasn't been for years. As it was a Sunday the chapels were shut but we all got our tickets stamped so that we can return within the next year for free.
At least the weather stayed nice for us to walk around the castle. The next day we went to Thorpe Park as there is 2 for 1 or Adult goes free vouchers everywhere. I'm not the best on upside down rollercoasters so I was the bag lady that day. I prefer the water rides at Thorpe Park anyway.
If you've been on Tidal Wave then you know that there is no way to avoid getting absolutely soaked, so we decided to leave this ride till last. While we were in the queue we discovered that each boat was being sent round twice as there wasn't long queues (as it was a week day and schools weren't out). We ended up right at the front and on the way up to the top, we got stuck. It's only the second time I've been stuck on the ride and at least one of the guys running the ride came up to chat to everyone while they were fixing it. The weather also started to get colder and wetter. When we finally got going, we only got soaked once as they wanted to do some test rounds with the ride.
At least there are "Heat Wave" cubicles around the park where you can try to warm up and dry off. As always we finished out trip off with donuts.

Party Hard
Hey
Last week I had my graduation ball, and still had to get up early the following day to go into university for three hours of lectures (10am start instead of 9am, doesn't count as a lay in).
There was a good mix of long and short dresses, and lots of drinking. There were a fair fewer worse off than me, but most made it in the next day.
We were on the last table for some reason so had to wait the longest for food (having to wait for food and having wine at the table, isn't a good mix). My hair also didn't survive the night. It started of nice but had fallen out by the end of the night. Although one of the lecturers did say that I looked like the girl that John William Waterhouse always paints (that was with my hair falling down) but I hadn't heard of him.
All in all it was a wicked night even if the weather wasn't great. Can't believe it's all over.

Finished What You Started
Hey
It's finally over. Everything has been handed in and last day at university it over. It feels kind of strange. For over 3 quarters of my life I have been in education and now I have finished. Now I have to start CVs and personal statements and looking for a job. Guess you can't really help but feel grown up.
The last three years has been a lot of hard work, long hours and early wake up calls. But I can definitely say I have made some friends that I hope to keep for life :)

That's What Friends Are For
Hey
I missed one of my uni friend's 21st as I was back home for a final placement. So while I was home I made her a present for when I returned to university. I got the inspiration for the project from In The Fun Lane's scrap week. I ended up doing a lot more gluing than what was suggested (I think partly because I was going diagonally and the letter I was completing), but I still think it turned out well. Selecting the fabric from mum's box of material was definitely the best part. Also the frame I used was a really bargain.
